Kid Vanilla will introduce the collection 2010 on Friday, march 12th. The fashion show will be held at 8 p.m. at Artspace, Leguit Gallery in Antwerp.
Eva Balg, the designer is noted for setting herself apart from the mould through her ironic and off beat vision of hip hop. Her designs are colorful, rebellious, feminine and sporty. Kid Vanilla, doesn’t create a seasonal collection but offers a unisex collection every year.
For her 2010 collection Eva surrounded herself with 2 close friends. Johnny, a graffiti artist and b-boy from the Netherlands, was instrumental in the launch of a new logo and the design of T-shirts and sweaters. Sebastian, Eva’s brother, is a fan of the 90’s, created imprints inspired by airbrushing and incorporated his passion into the product design. The result is sexy, raw and edgy.
The collections offer pieces suitable for summer and winter, all draped with colorful imprints.
